Burl in the Ruff

Finally a new project--I have neglecting my work due to finding and making an offer on a house. Meggan Baumgartner sent a picture of this puppy yesterday. I can't resist a cranky squishy puppy face. His name is Burl, and apparently he's much bigger already...

Tulip #1

I took the photo myself, I saw the flower, and still i have a hard time believing it's a tulip. I guess when you see something from the same angle often enough...
There's something reminiscent of Lily#2 in the colors and composition, and yet there's something unique and 'candid' about it, to quote Stella, like the flower was caught in an embarrassing pose.
